Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka is a native of Minsk which is the capital city of Belarus. Sergey, her father (who passed away in the year 2019), was an ice-hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born Minsk, Belarus on May 5 1998. In her career she has had 12 WTA singles titles including an Australian Open Grand Slam at the 2023 Australian Open. As a doubles specialist She also took home the US Open of 2019 as and her first Australian Open of 2021 with Elise Mertens. Together with her, the Belgian tennis superstar She won the WTA 1000s at Indian Wells in 2019 and Miami. Just four pairs of women's tennis had achieved this feat. The 23rd of August, 2021 was the day she was ranked second on the list of world singles rankings her best ranking reached again in January 2023. She rose up to the top of the doubles rankings in the year following, having triumphing the doubles title in Melbourne. This made her the only Belarusian tennis player to succeed in her field. She was trained by the former Russian tennis star Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the end of the season in 2019 and partially at the start of 2020. The pair also briefly worked with Dieter Kindlmann between August and September 2020. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow nationman, has been her coach since the year 2020. Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova were her idols.
